This trip is a bit last minute, but if you're free on Sunday this is a great chance to see some Koalas in the great outdoors and contribute to protecting them! The day is hosted by Koala Clancy, a social enterprise who make it possible for the public to get involved in Koala research and protection. The day will involve a mixture of data gathering (by searching for and recording koala sightings) and habitat protection (through weeding or tree planting). The day will take place in the You Yangs, a cool little granite mountain range between Melbourne and Geelong.

The foundation charges $20 to attend the day, with proceeds going back into their conservation work.

Keen to attend?

- Contact Sherzo (a MUMC member coordinating this trip) to discuss transport - . There is one MUMC car going, and a mini bus provided by Koala Clancy as well, leaving early Sunday morning.
