Hi all,

This spring, the Victorian National Parks Association will be undertaking native species monitoring in Bunyip State Park this spring. It's a great way to learn about some native animals - and what they get up to at night! - and to gain some skills :)

And for those particularly interested, a report presenting the results of the trial:

A community day will be held on Saturday, August 2 (10 am to 3 pm) in Gembrook.

Activities on the day:
- presentation about Bunyip State Park and on what the project has achieved over the past 2 years, including images of photographed animals
- a visit to Bunyip State Park
- training on how to set up motion sensing cameras
- lunch will be provided
- the best thing? You can get there by public transport (bus no 695 from Belgrave Station)! So for once, we can make a conservation trip happen without having to rely on cars.

To register, please book your spot via Eventbrite:

As always, please register early!

There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved later on as well. There will be regular monitoring days, when volunteers will relocate cameras to the next location. Dates: Saturdays  -- August 23, September 13, October 4, October 25, November 15.
