Grampians Sandstone Heights Hike

The trip is now full! Your spot was confirmed on Tuesday and you know who you are.

We will be completing an overnight hike on the Major Mitchell Plateau. Starting at Jimmy Creek Campground and ending at Sheeps Hill Carpark. The trip will run from Friday through to Sunday.

Hi All!

Great to see so much interest on Tuesday.

Egil and I are looking for a fun overnight hike in either the Grampians or at Wilson's Promontory.

We are hoping to meet some new faces and the trip will be open to all levels, including beginners.

The general plan will be to leave Friday evening, hike a few km's to a campsite and finish a loop or traverse by Sunday to drive home.

Ice cream, frisbees, hi5s, hammocks and bad jokes are a must on the trip. Campfires will only be allowed in allocated campsites.

We may be swayed by weather, interest and general group fitness but we will finalise details on the Tuesday night meeting the week of the trip.

If it is the Grampians then you will be treated to great views and possibly some rock scrambling. If it is the Prom then you experience camping by white sand and blue water beaches. Who knows we may run both hikes at different times this year.
