<<<<< SIGN-UPS FOR THIS TRIP IS CLOSED >>>>>

If you are keen to join, please email me by Thursday, 31 March,

This walk can be done solely as a day walk (participants to return to Melbourne after) and as part of the MUMC Campfire Talent Night (participants to stay on and camp out in Mount Bruno - Highly recommended!). Event details can be found here: https://mumc.teamapp.com/events/805441

Situated in the Warby Range and a 2-hour drive north east of Melbourne, the Warby-Ovens National Park was created in 2010 along with other new and expanded parks and over 200 conservation reserves, to protect and enhance the remaining River Red Gum forests in Victoria.

We will leave Melbourne at 7am and arrive in Warby-Ovens NP to walk the Friends and Salisbury walking tracks. On these two tracks, we will pass the Friends of the Warbys Arboretum (helps to identify the park’s diverse range of plants) and the Kwat Kwat Lookout (excellent views of the Ovens Valley and the Victorian Alps). The terrain is typical of open grassy plains and beginner-friendly but the Salisbury track is steep in places and a moderate level of fitness is required. Walking distance will be approximately 12-15km.

Trip meeting: 29 March 2016

(I won't be around for the meeting as i'll be away for Easter, but someone will make the announcement. You'll have to attend if you are staying for the weekend and need to hire tent/sleeping bag/mat/stove from the Bushwalking Gearstore.)

Email if you have any questions.
