MUMC needs YOU! to help run a rogaine

Ian Wanless and Rodney Polkinghorne have done a very silly thing, and told the VRA president that MUMC will manage an entire rogaine in 2015.  Please help us!

The plan is to run the twin 6-hour rogaines, on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June.  These dates are contingent on Ian's glamorous international career leaving him time to set the course.  We'll need lots of hands that weekend.  Please sign up if you're free for either or both days.  If you think of the hash house as a weekend long party in a scenic location, it's as much fun as work.

In the weeks beforehand, a small group of people will need to set and check the controls, ask farmers if rogainers can cross their paddocks, and all that.  These people need to be precise and reliable navigators.

There are some specific jobs on the weekend as well as general grunt work:

Rodney will run catering, but someone else needs to run administration.  The VRA claim this is easy to learn, and they're happy to teach people.  You'd want to have seen a rogaine beforehand.

The VRA gear fills a small truck, and their usual driver is well overdue for a break.  You're allowed to drive this on a car licence, but you'd want to practise: the VRA can organise that, if you volunteer in time.
