Xmas-New Years Canyoning

Requirements: Been on a number of Bushwalking, Rogaining, and/or Rock Climbing trips.

Heading to the Blue Mountains (near Sydney) for some amazing canyoning adventures. This trip is open to all experience levels. Canyoning involves following a watercourse through very narrow canyons and often involve short swims and abseiling (sometimes down waterfalls). The environment inside canyons can be very different to surrounding areas, and helps add to the adventure of the sport.

Which canyons we tackle will depend heavily on everyones experience levels. Most likely we will start off easy to introduce beginners to it, then gradually work our way onto some more adventurous canyons. Allowable numbers will depend heavily on the experience & skill base of the group.

Dates at this stage are still flexible, depending when people want to go/ are available - however the trip will fall between 27th December and 3th Jan. Shannon's caving trip will also be around the same time. 

James will be Mountaineering in New Zealand prior to the trip so please contact Sytske for an trip related coordination questions. You can reach her on sytske @ hillenius . net.  The "trip meeting" in this instance is mostly to gain a sense of who hopes to attend and the majority will be coordinated via email.
