Nest Box Monitoring – Magical May 2015

Requirements: Open to everyone!

(This is the last Nest Box Monitoring of the year, jump on it if you haven't been!)

Invite yourselves to the residence of some endangered species who live in a box up a tree! It’s always a thrill to discover the furry dwellers – squirrel gliders, sugar gliders or the phascogales, and the challenge to tell them apart - and that's exactly what you'll be doing!

You will be carrying a ladder and driving/walking around looking for the nestboxes (time to hone your navigation skills!) but you will do this usually in teams of six. So come along, connect with nature and wildlife, learn new skills and make new friends!

Accommodation is provided in the Benalla Scout Hall (mattresses provided, bring sleeping bag or option to camp)

Bring: 
- Food & water for the weekend (We'll be out in the field during the day, there is a group BBQ dinner on Saturday)
- Sturdy shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, gaiters, sun protection, rain gear (just in case) 
- Sleeping bag and/or tent
- Money for petrol & car maintenance
