Midnight Ascent 2015

Requirements: Been on two trips with the club and a good level of fitness

Due to high demand with sign ups, we are already over the maximum number of participants this year, which unfortunately needs to be stringently enforced for safety reasons. Please continue to sign up to express interest as places will become available when people can't attend closer to the event.

Come and join the club for our ancient annual winter festival at the clubs hut on Mt Feathertop. The trip will be held at the fullmoon, which might be for ancient mystical reasons or just because it provides some light, I'll leave that speculation up to you.

Cars will leave around 6ish on Friday night (negotiable with drivers) getting to Harrietville around 11 and then hiking up the Tom Kneen track from midnight. It's a strenuous hike taking 4 to 6 hours so fitness is advisable (ie essential).

Saturday's riturals will involve cooking up a giant feast from scratch, dressed in the finest of fancy dress costumes. This years theme is childhood dreams (who or what did you want to be when you were a kid).

The trip is open to active members of the club (defined as at least two trips this year, however this doesn't guarantee you a position, spots will be allocated based on activity level within the club).
