Mid-Sem Arapiles Climbing Approvals

I'm running a trip to get people who are currently Probationary Independent Lead Climbers (PILCs) within the club's framework converted to full independent lead climbers.

As per the Climbing Safety Management Plan, logbook/probationary climbers are required to log 4 days of climbing with a Club Climbing Instructor.  This will give you an opportunity to demonstrate rescue skills, guided abseil, and run through club climbing trip leader induction before being given the full approval.

If you have had your logbook approved by the Ropes Technical Committee, then send me an email at and I will add you to the trip.

The trip will likely start by leaving Melbourne on Friday evening, and returning Monday evening/Tuesday arvo. Fuel costs to be split among the drivers. Camp fees for Arapiles are currently $2.90 per person per night. Food is each participants responsibility, though I will be going to the Nati pub at least one of the nights.
